As you know, we recently made a mad dash to Leavenworth, WA a few weeks ago in search of some festive fun and we sure found it! I am working on an extensive blog on all things Leavenworth but in the meantime, I wanted to do a recap of all of my must have, cold weather, non-toxic products to either pack for your next Winter getaway or to use daily if you live somewhere as chilly. I really wanted to make sure my skin, hands and lips stayed moisturized and all of these products really performed great! Keep reading to see what was packed in my bag this trip! Of course, all of these items are super clean, non-toxic and effective. I also snuck in a pretty fun FREE gift with purchase so be sure to scroll until you find that below!

Skin Care-

I packed my usual Winter routine: Inika Creamy Cleanser, Eco by Sonya Toner, Agent Holi Lift, Agent Holi Creme and Agent Holi Oil that performed really well but after being out and about, I added in the Kinfield Rescue Mission. This is either a rich moisturizer OR an overnight moisture treatment. I applied a thick later after my other items to just really give my skin plenty to eat and drink! My skin stayed really supple, glow and happy despite being in freezing temps! The key is really to make sure you are not using a clarifying cleanser to dry out the skin and moisturize as often as you can. I also avoided powder makeup.

Lip Care-

For lips, I had 3 items I used that all worked great. I used the ZAO Clear Lip Oil during the day for a more makeup, glossy look, the Eco By Sonya Glory Lips for similar results but a bit more skincare infused and then the Inika Lip Serum which is more like an overnight lip treatment type of product! All 3 really kept my lips hydrated, moisturized and happy! You can simply pair with a lip liner to add a little color too. I packed the Nutmeg, Chestnut and Red lip liners and I would avoid any matte lipsticks for the most part. I did wear the Saint Lipstick in New York for 1 hour at the Reindeer Farm because I wanted a little color to pop with my boring, Black snow outfit.

Nail Polish-

I really wish I had time to go get a gel mani before out trip but we planned it literally a few days before so the nails took a back seat. The Huella polishes are so great for doing your own nails at home, they really do look great even when rushing! I chose to do a festive pearly red color to be a basic Snow Bunny but it’s such a pretty color! I used the Huella cleaner polish in Restore My Soul and yes, I use the Base and a Top Coat always to prolong! I also carry a cleaner gel polish option and if I had time, would have done the Bio Seaweed Gel Polish in Valentine or Pomegranate.

Hair Care-

I almost curled my hair to go see the reindeer and I am so glad I did not bother because it snowed the whole time and my hair ended up wet and raggedy. My best hair advice is to do a cute and simple blowout look with a cozy headband and be done. You also want to make sure you have a coat with a hood or a hat as the snow really was dumping. I used my Sutra Infrared Brush with a light hair oil and that was about as good as it got. I packed the Artifact Hair Oil and it was great. Makeup

In drier, chillier temps, you really want to keep your makeup dewy and glowy and the products I used did exactly that. I was so happy with their performance! First, you wanna get your base right, to do this, I made sure to exfoliate really well the day before to get off ALL dead, dry skin, this is a must. I used my current fave face scrub, the Eco By Sonya Acai Exfoliator and got a nice, clean canvas. Then, I really maxed out on moisture with the Agent Holi Creme mixed with Holi Oil for a nice, dewy base. These 3 steps before makeup is KEY. You cannot have a spec of dead, dry skin or else it’s all over. Then, I went in with the RMS Uncoverup in 11.5 to tackle any dark circles under the eyes and any blemishes. This concealer is awesome, it just melts into the skin and gives you nice, new skin. You can also go in with a little, tiny bit of the RMS Liquid Foundation 11.5 if you want more coverage but honestly, less is more here.

For bronzer, I used my tried and true Zao Foundation Stick in 780 for a dewy pop of color. I use this where you apply bronzer, to cheeks, forehead, and eye crease. One thing I added in here was the RMS Master Radiance in Rich, over the makeup as a highlighter and it was the star of the show, it gave the prettiest glow ever. Brows were my usual pencil in Ashy Daybreak. Lips I did the lip liners above with the lip oils or balms above. Mascara I did the Inika Bold Mascara and it held up great even in snow, it did not smudge at all. To keep the brows intact, I did use a tiny bit of the Inika Powder Foundation in Trust to keep that area only more matte and a tiny bit under the eye also but barely any. I also did add a tiny pop of the Inika Bronzer in Sunbeam on the cheeks and creases for added color pop over the dewy cream makeup.

Body Moisture + Hand Creams-

For body and hands, you want to use a more rich moisturizer. I really have been loving the Carter + Jane Body Butters head to toe but if you want something for hands only, I really love the Henne Organics Hand Cream. Both are the perfect density for max moisture but without feeling too heavy or waxy, I love both options! The Carter + Jane is nice because it can be used on hands too if you can only grab one!

Overnight Repair-

If you are going to be in the cold for a few days, you can also add in an overnight treatment for the skin and lips. I packed the Inika Overnight Treatment Mask but was too tired to apply it after a long day of activities! But, I did use the above Inika Lip Serum on my lips overnight and it was perfect.

Clothing and Accessories-

I packed a ton of cute snow outfits but then reality hit and I ended up in all Black the whole time because it ended up snowing and I needed a hood which I only had on my one black jacket. Here are the pieces that I felt were staples to make your Winter outfit as cute as possible! My North Face cozy headband was so perfect as it keeps your ears warm and you looking cute. I wanted some earring to show but the studs got covered by the ear warmer so I chose my fave go-to gold hoops the Becca Hoops. These are the perfect hoop, truly. They are the right size and they are super lightweight and never bother my sensitive ears. For boots, I was really happy with my North Face Waterproof Boots as they were super grippy, warm and cute! I also got these cool tights on Amazon that are like fleece tights you can wear under pants that really helped add warmth. For pants, I wore my fave Spanx Straight Leg pants with the fleece tights under and they held up well and they are a cute fit other than big snow pants. As you may have seen, I also found the CUTEST ear muffs by the CC brand! They were super cheap but so sparkly and cute for how cheap they were, they really shine! You can find all my Winter faves linked here.
